An important component of learning to read is to be able to sound out letter sounds.

Using our letter /picture match cards children can match the relevant visual picture to the corresponding letter card.

• Try playing memory whilst matching pictures and letters

• Print off 2 sets and play memory with just the picture or just the letters

• Hide the picture cards around the room and have children seek the matching picture for the selected letter card they receive.

• Play alphabet domino
